When thinking of ways to make your house more luxurious and relaxing, you may probably think of a lot of options. From constructing a veranda to getting a sundeck, the options seem endless. However, the number of options may be cut in half if you have a small place. The thought of having a luxurious bathtub oasis may not be too plausible for your cute bathroom. But should it really stop you from having a little something to let you soak your cares away at the end of the day?
Of course not, for small bathrooms, small bathtubs are certainly a welcome option. If you go ahead and measure your bathroom and you think a standard 5-foot bathtub would stick like an elephant in a doghouse, then don’t despair. There are a lot of small bathtubs that are either ready-made or custom-created.
Small bathtubs are usually of the soaking tub variety or the walk-in variety. A small soaking bathtub makes up for its limitation in length with its depth. Since it is deeper than the standard bathtub, it allows you to soak your entire body in it. There’s no need to slide down into the tub so that your whole body will be immersed. If you are very tall, you could just sit in the tub so that your torso can still be soaked in water and you are not necessarily lying, but just reclining.
A small walk-in bathtub has a door on the side where you walk into, and sit on it. Majority of these small walk-in types have a built-in seat. You will just need to get inside the tub first before filling it with water and empty the tub while you’re still on it. The cramped space does not allow you to fill it up and then climb in, as the tub will be too tall, and opening the door will, of course, let the water out. But this is a small price to pay for the pleasure this tub can bring!
So, you can still enjoy the luxuries and delights of a bathtub even in just a small bathroom! All you need is to be on lookout for the small bathtub types written above.
